Doubt

Fantastic cast , excellent production and in the end - no doubt!

Seana McKenna was as usual superb as Sister Aloysius. David Storch gave great sermons - almost enough to make you want to go to church. Daniela Vlaskalic and Raven Dauda are both worth watching for.

The audience was spell bound throughout - a major accomplishment on a Friday evening.

  1. Yes, McKenna and Storch were both great in their roles. This is a play that would feel right at home at the Shaw Festival (except for the date mandate, which seems to be slipping anyway) - GBS would be very comfortable with a play that is really a series of speeches in an argument.
I was surprised that the production ended with a clear resolution of the doubt; I expected people to be leaving the theatre still discussing who was in the right, rather like Oleanna, I do not know whether this is basic to the play, or just this production. I would have found less certainty more satisfying.
